Old boy delighted to support his old school and St Mary’s Church Appeal

Local boy, Andrew Watts now Managing Director of Watts Financial Services is the first local businessman to take up St Mary’s invitation to sponsor one of this year’s series of Thursday Lunchtime Concerts.

Andrew has many reasons to be grateful for the support of Brine Leas School and the ministry of St Mary’s Church.  Andrew attended Brine Leas from 1986.  He and his wife Jo were married ten years ago at St Mary’s soon after Rector Peter Chantry came to the church.  Since then, their three children – Jack, Mia and Phoebe have been baptised at St Mary’s.

Andrew said: We are delighted to be sponsoring the concert today.  Brine Leas and St Mary’s both play such a vital part in our town’s life.  Watts Financial Services is very keen to support its local community.  This year we are celebrating 25 years as a local business and we’re proud to be associated with St Mary’s Appeal.

Rector Peter Chantry gave news to Nantwich town Counsellors and other guests at the Lunchtime Concert that so far over £70,000 has been raised.  He commented: We are so grateful to all those who have helped us to raise this money and we are continuing to apply for grants, draw up plans and progress the vital work of restoration and development of St Mary’s.
